Georges is a business strategy professional with a diverse experience spanning over 20 years in Strategic Counseling, Marketing and Communications. His Middle East and GCC regional experience covers diverse industries such as Hospitality, Restaurants, Tourism Development, Real Estate, Banking, retail and many more. He launched landmark mix-used developments and established various brands for tourism boards, hospitality groups and start-ups. To name few, Saadiyat Island, Sir Bani Yas Island, Louvre Abu Dhabi and many more.

Chakar has been working at the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC), for the last eight years, where he is heading communications for all its projects portfolio. In addition to his general scope of work, George was mandated to mentor and develop young Emirati talents as well as coaching and training TDIC senior management on several issues of media encounter and crisis communications.

Georges' passion to exchanging knowledge landed him in the education industry where he taught, as part time for bachelor students, a Marketing and Communications course at the European International College of Abu Dhabi. In addition, he performed in several occasion the role of master of ceremony as well as facilitator in thinking tank groups and panel discussions.

Furthermore, Chakar's entrepreneurial skills helped him to support several of his network groups to establish many small medium enterprises in the region from inception to completion. This involved market studies, project management, preparing proposals for investors and more. George is also perusing professional coaching skills degree and he plans to accomplish his certificate by third quarter 2016.

A Lebanese national, George is fluent in English and Arabic, and French. He recently concluded his Master of Business Administration at Hult International Business School, where he covered subjects such as management consulting, management communications, change management and many more, in addition to leading a team of five classmates to win the Hult award for best Action Project for Disney Corporation. George is also happily married and the doting father of three amazing daughters.
